FROM THE DESK OF THE XO

Well April was a
rough month for me but I am recouping and plan to be at May Drill;
which means we are jumping right into our busy summer mode. I am
expecting each of you to be prepared for Opening Day Ceremonies.
Clean pressed uniforms with clean covers; shoes you can see yourself
in; ladies your hair needs to be neat, clean and properly pinned up
for those of you with long hair. Gentlemen hair no longer than
collar length and must be above the ears; you must also be clean
shaven! This is not new to you but lately not all of you have been
doing what is needed. May drill is going to be busy so be ready; if
you have orders, money for dues or physicals to bring; BRING THEM!
On 20APR13 a Color Guard
Detail attended a welcome home celebration for one of many of our
Army’s deployed battalion’s coming back from overseas. Once again
they did the Division proud in their color guard presentation;
receiving many compliments from all.
May is filled with Opening
Day Ceremonies, the Military Ball which the Navy is hosting this
year & the Memorial Day Parade in Kenmore. Be prepared to show your
Pride for your Unit and for the Heritage of the Uniform you wear by
stepping up and participating in the up and coming parades and color
guard details as there will be many throughout the months to come.
See you all at Drill;
